Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order?

You can order and pay weekly on the Hotplate Platform, click here ; the link is also provided on the Harvest Moon Bakery website:  www.harvestmoonbakery.org. You can order on the Hotplate Platform when the event window is open, between Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. Order pick up is the Saturday morning for the week following your order between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at 6730 N Loop 1604 E, Apt. 168-Patio Pickup. Payments can be made via most major debit/credit cards and PayPal on Hotplate.

2. What do you sell?

Harvest Moon Bakery sells monthly themed items that include cookies, muffins, and monthly signature items such as cinnamon rolls. Check out the menu on the website or on Hotplate to see what is currently available.

4. Do you deliver?

Not at the moment, but we hope to do so in the future. 

​

5. Do you take large or custom orders?

Yes. Large orders need a two-week lead time to be sure Harvest Moon Bakery can fit the order into the bake days. For large orders, each type of cookie ordered must be ordered in increments of a dozen (12). A 50% deposit is needed for large orders. Call 210-577-2226 or email at harvestmoonbakery2@gmail.com to discuss and coordinate your special order.

6. Where do I pick up my order?

Orders are available for pick-up Saturday mornings from 9:30 am-11:30 am at Avasa at 1604, 6730 N. Loop 1604 E, Apt. 168-Patio Pickup in San Antonio, TX.

7. Refunds and Cancellations

There are no refunds. Cancellations must be made by the Thursday at 9:30 A.M. prior to the scheduled Saturday pick up window (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.). If no cancellation is made by the Thursday before pick up, the ordered item is forfeited and will be discarded.

8. Do you have a storefront?

No, currently you will need to pre-order and pay for your order prior to pickup. Pickup your order at the scheduled time (Saturday morning between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.) at Avasa at 1604, 6730 N. Loop 1604 E. Apt. 168-Patio Pickup.

10. What is the best way to eat and store the cookies?

Cookies are best day of but will store on the counter in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days. Refrigerate cookies for up to 7 days. And most cookies can be frozen for up to 2 months. When ready to eat bring them to room temperature.

11. What is your allergy policy?

Harvest Moon Bakery cookies and other baked goods are made in a home kitchen, and may have trace amounts of tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, wheat, soy, and eggs. We are not allergen free nor are we gluten free.

​

12. What is a home cottage food baker?

A Texas cottage food baker is referred to as a cottage food producer, which describes an individual who sells certain homemade foods made in their home kitchen which is not subject to inspection.
